The Master and I were on the subject of virginity the other evening (no don't ask why) but we got to talking about the technicality of it all. I mean, TECHNICALLY your only a virgin until you have vaginal sex. So does this mean that all gay people are Virgins? If its not just vaginal sex, what is it exactly that pops your cherry? We were arguing over oral sex and I can see his side, but it really doesn't seem to make you "not" a virgin. So I'm asking the masses. What is it that you consider HOW to lose a cherry?

Wow...you've put a whole new twist on virginity! I don't even know what to think of it anymore...it just doesn't seem to be the same as it was back when I still considered myself "virgin". I'll give this one some thought, and see what I can come up with...
...I'll get back to you
I say genital to genital penetration. Once you've have been penetrated by another genital you are no longer a virgin.
Minus digital stimulation.
Just my two cents.
We all know my opinion doesn't count after the bases fiasco which resulted in the renaming of a popular snack cake. BUT here are my two cents anyway:
Popping a cheery is clearly a reference to breaking the physical hymen and the blood flow that follows. However, this is a really antiquated view of virginity.
Thankfully, our society is past the point where we limit our view of sex to physical, vaginal sex. I think now, virginity is more of an abstract concept.
Its a state of being defined more by the ideals of your experiences, than a list of rigid actions. I mean fuck, you can have your hymen broken riding a horse. And my friend Nicole didn't start using a dildo until her last girlfriend, and JUST had her hymen broken despite years of sexual activity.
While Em Traplin's definition makes it simple, Im not sure its such a clear cut case. Again, what about lesbian women? There doesnt -hav- to be genital to genital -penetration- there. I hate to make virginity sound so esoteric, but Im a dork that way. ;P
Loss of Virginity= a sexual boundary which is crossed creating a new level of intimacy between consenting sexual partners?
No, thats not it either. Ill think about it. ;P
I'm weighing in on this one. I think virginity as a specific physical condition is an outdated concept, harkening back to the days when women as brides were more prized as vessels to continue a line of inheritance. Virginity as we think of it today is more of a concept than a physical state of being. As a concept, it represents a first time sharing of the deepest level of physical intimacy between two people. It cannot be 'accidentally lost' via horseback riding, an improperly inserted tampon (true story, happened to my friend) or any other non-sexual physical activity. Neither can it be taken or stolen from someone through an act of rape, insest, or sexual abuse.
Virginity can only be voluntarily shared and given as a gift from one person to another.
oOoOo...I'm with Chocolateer!
I think absolutely everything worthwhile has already been said. I just wanted to give you another comment because you always comment on my blog and I adore you (not because you comment, but because you're great).
Uselessly Yours,
